Please find the information below on the Workers Compensation insurance to cover their employees and Disability Benefits for Boreal Water Collection.
FACT!!! FACT!!!! FACT!!
Boreal Water Collection has workers compensation and disability benefits insurance currently in place. Coverage was renewed for both policies in April 2015. If this company was "cooking the books" or if it's a "shell company", than why in the heck did theypurchase insurance and disability benefits for their employee? If Boreal was truly in a situation where they might "go under" than the first item that would've been cut from the budget/operating expense is.... INSURANCE & BENEFITS!

For the folks that didn't see my post recent on insurance.... here it is:
Information on Boreal Water Collection's Workers Compensation Insurance:
- Policy Effective Date 4/3/2015 to 4/3/2016
- Carrier: Hartford Insurance - A.M. Best Rated: A+ (Superior)
- Hartford DOES NOT and WILL NOT work with companies that have the following issues.(My first has a contract, so I know Hartford inside and out): (1) Bad Claims History (2)Extremely Bad Credit (3)Companies that DO NOT pay their bills on time or are unable to pay their premium (4)Hartford will also dispatch "Loss Control Specialists" every year to review the property to ensure that no safety hazards exist. If they do exist and are not corrected, Hartford will non-renew or cancel your policydepending on the infraction.
How does Hartford audit Work Comp?
The "mail audit" or "in-person audit", depends on the number of employees, exposure and premium size. If they deem the company as being low-risk than you are more than likely to see a "mail-in" audit scenario.
How does Hartford accept payment:
Depending on the kind of insurance you are purchasing from Hartford, they may have you pay the premium in advance OR Monthly installments. More than likely Boreal Water is paying their premiums "monthly".

Disability Benefits Coverage is REQUIRED in the State of New York.
What are Disability Benefits?
New York is one of a handful of states that require employers to provide disability benefits coverage to employees for an off-the-job injury or illness. Coverage for disability benefits can be obtained through a disability benefits insurance carrier who is authorized by the New York State Workers' Compensation Board to write such policies. Another option is for large employers to become authorized by the Board to self-insure (WCL §211).
Disability benefits are temporary cash benefits paid to an eligible wage earner, when he/she is disabled by an off the job injury or illness. The Disability Benefits Law (Article 9 of the WCL) provides weekly cash benefits to replace, in part, wages lost due to injuries or illnesses that do not arise out of or in the course of employment (WCL §204). Disability benefits are also paid to an unemployed worker to replace unemployment insurance benefits lost because of illness or injury (WCL §207).
