IBM might be dressing something up for sale.

That is an interesting thought.

Apple has a MORP* operation, maybe Google might want its own MORP
to keep up with the Cooks. Google could certainly afford a trophy chip
operation more than IBM can based on its AIX server business. Now that
IBM is fabless it is a cleaner partitioning to send the big blue RISC folks
packing. With the Unix server market sinking like a lead baloon it is just
a matter of time before IBM has to do something drastic anyways.

*MORP - My Own RISC Processor - disparaging term from Intel in the mid
eighties to describe the multitude of RISC competitors that popped up.
