Well, let's see. Would a reasonable competitor pay a $500 million or so settlement for wrongdoing AND buy out the potential income from the company they just were forced to pay the settlement? Naw, I think they'll be happy to eventually just pay the settlement. KB isn't going to toss the golden ring to them. They know they're going to have to take it while holding onto their ankles. IMO of course.
