I just saw this post. And since I was mentioned I'll make a comment.

It's all about intent. If you can't be certain the intent then you can't know for sure who was a scammer and who was a failure.

I have met several of these people mentioned in these posts personally, and talked with them. Not only do I believe that MG ReelTimer was not a scammer, at all, but neither was BH. Neither was Gonzalo, or Hodge. Neither was MF. The only certain scammer involved was JG who I personally tried and had some success in helping tearing down.

Failures are different. BH and Hodge are one of those IMO. BH is not wholly honest all the time though, he bends the truth to an extreme degree that it's hard to defend his moral intent sometimes. ReelTimer was merely holding the company, he didn't do anything. Calling him a scammer is ridiculous. Gonzalo never really had the chance to do anything. I understand his motives but don't agree with his extreme behaviors. MF was an abject failure and made horrible decision after horrible decision. As for JD, I don't have enough information, but I don't think he had good intentions.

But all this talk here about others, why aren't we looking at ourselves and taking responsibility for our own bad investment decisions?
