I know most companies use RS as a method to save share price, which in most cases is indicative of a failing company. Either (1) we're blind to the fact that we're in a failing company, or (2) we're not failing, and therefore if positive news is coming, a RS could help prop the price, and IF (big if), the timing is right, ie: human trials, contract in Asia, uplift to Nasdaq, etc, then having 3-4x less shares out there can help move it up faster..
