If you want to have fun sometime, look up the old unit of measures. When my son was in his AP Physics class, I suggested a project. As I recall, it went something like this:

One inch = three barley grains
several grains = one dram
several drams = one ounce
16 oz = 1 lb
2000 lb = 1 ton
lots of tons = mass of Earth
circumference of Earth = 24900 miles
convert miles to barleycorns

Weight of earth ~= circumference.

The teacher marked a zero in his grade book until he saw my son's grin and heard the final line of the presentation:

"It's a conspiracy, I tell you!"
