Thanks for your post on EBM Quality Control

My reason for posting was much more simplistic. I was thinking that there might be a connection between the two employment postings that specifically mention EBM and not laser additive manufacturing (UK - Manufacturing Process Engineer - Senior and Quality Process Engineer) and the current openings at Arcam for Application Engineers that will support customers in the UK and Republic of Ireland. The postings for customer process and quality engineers bodes well for increased industrialization as does the posting by Arcam for engineers to "support and develop our biggest customers within the Aerospace and Orthopaedic industries to take EBM technology into full production."

I haven't seen the document you referenced before - ?-Titanium Aluminide Manufactured by Electron Beam Melting by Sanna Fager Franzén and Joakim Karlsson. I'll have to examine it. You might be interested in taking a look at one of Joakim's later works that I have read - Optimization of Electron Beam Melting for Production of Small Components in Biocompatible Titanium Grades.
