My bottle says October 2015, vintage reverse split vineyard. It's been open, breathing for almost half a year now. Definitely smells skunked. Now you want to pull out a fresh bottle from 2016 and claim that one as the new vintage? What happens to all the taste testers that bought the more expensive bottle in 2015, now they have to buy the 2016 bottle too? We were told that was the best year. I guess it depends on whether you like green, oh I mean white wine or red wine I guess..
