I have tried CBD (many health benefits to it).

The compound's greatest strength I would say is towards anxiety, stress and sleep. Not effective toward acute pain. I view it as something that a hard days work (i.e. where your back takes a beating - for example) is a great way to go over a few Advil or Tylenols. Overall, CBD is known to be a powerful antioxidant, stress reliever, antidepressant and on I could go. THC is the compound that is known primarily for pain relief. However, it's also a psychoactive (i.e. you get high from it).

Which is what it's most known for. CBD on its own is probably one of the most powerful herbal compounds known to man (IMHO) but it's not a pharmaceutical grade status compound in regards to acute / sever pain.

Overall, my thoughts on this is that in the coming years medical marijuana will move into the pharmaceutical sector and be offered as an alternative to opioids. My own opinion stands that a good number of people would prefer the side effects of opioids over medical marijuana but of course that is going to depend on the nature of their injury.

My personal view also, is that a combination of opioids and medical mj will be offered together to those with sever chronic pain issues as to reduce the chance of dependency on opioids but also; to mitigate the need for the patient to get entirely high in order to manage their pain.

In general, cannabidiols will offer great break through in the fight against certain conditions like rare forms of epilepsy (already proven pretty much to be effective IMO). In view of acute / sever or chronic pain there is no, "one solution" for all forms of pain so I personally believe what ELTP is doing here is fully relevant.

But yes, not so much CBD but medical marijuana is coming into play here soon.

-My 2 cents.
