Good video and interesting presentation. Some big takeaways IMO:

1. Nanosys has been cash flow positive for 3 years now. Good to know that a QD company has been turning a profit. I know QDV recently received a rather large investment which to mean indicates they are probably in the red still. Just a thought though. Those who have been following the industry for a few years will know that Nanosys has switched from their "beaker line" to larger scale reactors. I imagine this has helped with reduce expenses, therefore increasing profits.

2. I really enjoyed their explanation about how they've tried lots of different ways of incorporating dots into commercial products. Starting with their DoD work back in the day it seems like it was a lot of trial and error (and money) to get to where they are today.

3. I found the data about their "gen 5" dots and their longevity very interesting. They showed their "gen 5" dots to be InP/ZnS with an incredibly long operating life-time (170,000 hours).

4. Hartlove states that Samsung wanted to buy their Cd-Free dots from Nanosys, but they didn't have the manufacturing capacity at the time so they ended up licensing the tech. He does say at the end that they are indeed still selling dots to Samsung in some capacity though.

5. A huge piece of information in my mind was the fact that they have established a 2nd manufacturing site that can provide enough dots for 12 million TVs. That's basically a 200% increase in what they've been able to produce at their current site. I am wondering if this was possible because of the $15 million investment they received from Samsung last year? Going back to point 4 perhaps Hansol was basically a "placeholder" until this facility was up and running?

I really enjoyed hearing more of the "inside workings" of the company that is almost no doubt the industry leader at this point. I'm interested to hear others thoughts on the video?
