IDC server data:

http://www.idc.com/getdoc.jsp?containerId=prUS41076116

highlights:

- all servers: +5.2% YoY by revenue, +3.8% YoY by units
- x86 servers: +8.0% YoY by revenue, +4.0% YoY by units
- non-x86 servers: -5.4% YoY by revenue

IDC finally talked specifically about ARM servers:

ARM server sales fell in 4Q15 compared to the same time in 2014, with HPE
Moonshot system deployments representing the largest single component.
big smile

Interesting IBM *grew* its server sales, all non-x86, by 8.9% even though
non-x86 server sales overall were down. IBM now has 75.8% of the non-x86
server market by revenue. Looks like Larry's plan to boost SPARC sales by
back stabbing Itanium has failed big time. I hope HP gets a big settlement.
