I never said they were not the country with the most ip theft. I totally agree that you are right. They are also the country with the most companies being found guilty of that crime.
So does that mean that they have the best law enforcement? No.
They have the most thieves because they have the most people. Not because they are chinese.

My point is that if you are the creator of something like a video game that is sold to end users you are having problems with bootleggers selling copies in a swapmeet.

But if you are Ford motor company you are not worried about fake mustangs. It takes too many involved to produce a mustang to have them all in on a fake

Our silk is not an end user product. If the chinese steal it and try to sell it to Underarmor we would sue Underarmor and win. We wouldnt have to worry about the producer.
They would go broke as soon as underarmor stopped buying the silk.

Any company using our silk and not getting it from us will just be money in the bank.

If someone is going to steal our IP to make spools of thread for for needlepoint hobbiests so be it. That is not a threat to our buseness.
