Thanks Tlsmd - and glad you pointed out my limitations. The international audience definitely makes this bigger than what those numbers were showing.
I want to support another point that others have made. STREAMING!!!!
I downloaded comixology, marvel, and dark horse just to get familiar with their usability and features so I can better be prepared for the beta.
First off, YES the others have big titles and at this point Powfolio doesn't. BUT, that is not to say they won't as was mentioned by others - they want to make money and if that means getting on another app that will be little to not cost of their own then it is only a matter of time.
Streaming by far makes this app more efficient. Last night, using high speed wi-fi, it took nearly 3 minutes to get access to the 2016 marvel preview book. Looking at Powfolio and how fast each selection was loading is a huge improvement over the competitors.
Powfolio will need to fix the contrast issue, as I think the other apps are a bit more clear and defined on some pages,as well as a few other minor things, but that's what beta is for.
I am certainly not an expert, I'm an average customer, but I see this attracting new users simply because it will be free comics for the most part and will be easy to use, and the Real Time Chat will be integrated. To me this grabs the younger users. If there is one thing I do know, it's the connectivity of the kids. Manga is still big (I don't get it but it is with our kids.) and having the ability to chat and check out their Manga without clicking back and forth is brilliant. I know some will hate it, but this is about having something for everyone and this app in my opinion will certainly do that.
