Honestly, I was surprised to see those numbers. Graphicpolicy if anyone checks it out has a section about demographics. They post the numbers each month. As they stated in the article, they are just tracking those who "like" comics or comic related. It doesn't mean they are reading or buying as they also stated.
That being said, the audience is already there and they are already interested in the topic of comics. With those statistics, seems like there would be a decent amount at least interested in looking at the app. Just my opinion and shared to trigger some thoughts.
