If I were to consider the history of lasers and electron beams in the year 1961 and someone had invented 3d printing then, I would have placed my bet on EB. Instead, laser 3d appears to predate EB 3d by maybe 10 years, that although we had electron beams long before lasers, and the electron beam welder predated lasers, 1958 verses 1960. So, is there more room for EB 3d innovation because it was invented later?
I should have posted this earlier, the Honeywell website. It contains their comparison/contrast of electron beam verses laser.
