I'm not naïve enough to think pols don't exaggerate, but I still believe there are some who are sincere.
As for what Romney pulled yesterday, it was a disgrace and he should be ashamed - the "establishment" does not want Trump, albeit they waited too long to stop him, and Mr. "Establishment" thought he could turn things around by reading a speech castigating Trump, the guy whose endorsement he warmly welcomed in '12. The Repub party welcomed/encouraged the teabaggers and now the know-nothings are voting for Trump and the "establishment" can't handle it and thinks they can ignore those votes and get away with it. Too funny!!
I disagree the Repub party wanted Pres Obama to win in '12 - they pulled out all stops out to defeat him, including never standing up to Trump's "birther" antics, and worked o/t to "prove" Pres Obama "isn't one of us", then ran a weak candidate who hates 47% of us.
