NioCorp may never build a mine or they might actually build a mine. Since all investment has risks, you have to weigh the risk vs opportunity but that's with all stocks. Who knew that the recession would wipe out peoples 401K or pensions in traditional "household" stocks during the recession on the verge of retiring or needing to sell their house because they were elderly and could no longer live independently but now the house was under water because of the Great Recession. All investments have risks.
I don't disagree that the market has spoken. I also don't expect a company at this stage of the game should be trading at $5 a share. No mine has been built and there is no funding to build it yet.
My post ended with IMO (In My Opinion). TDD and Big Picture agree that there is great potential here but I am sure they also know there is some level of risk as do I. If I lose it all, I will be upset and angry but I won't be broken. I have other streams of income. I chose to invest at my own risk and take responsibility for my decisions. I'm sure they are doing the same. One would think so.
No one in my opinion should invest if they do not have a stable source of income AND adequate reserve savings that they could survive on should something happen to their investment.
I am ok with the current share price but it seems some people have no patience to let the project evolve and wait for the share price to evolve commensurate with the growth of the company. It's just a fact that they either have to wait OR more investors or current investors have to invest more. That's just common sense.
I don't personally care if people buy more or not. I am happy with the status quo and believe the company is going as fast as they can. I just wished some investors had more patience but that is OK. Everybody's different and some people are more patient than others.
People always do what they perceive as in their best interest. If
they want to buy more, great. If they don't want to and they are more conservative then don't but it would be nice if people stop complaining about the share price.
What do people expect for a share price at this stage of the companies development?
People need to be more patient. Who expected Lind Partners to step in in December. Whose to say the additional funding isn't around the corner. I don't know. Only the company knows.
Your opinion is more conservative. I like it. It's a good counterbalance to those who might be more bullish. Were all different but what we have in common is that we all feel there is an opportunity here, including you, or you wouldn't be invested in NioCorp unless your not, which honestly I wouldn't know.
As Fidelity Investments prints in it's disclaimer on it's website for "ALL STOCKS" prior to execution , "Before investing, consider the investment objectives, risks, charges and expenses of the fund, 'stock', 529 or annuity and its investment options."
This disclaimer is for any stock, not just NioCorp. That includes Apple, Google, Facebook or any other stock you can think of.
To everyone, do your own research and do what's best for your situation but also take responsibility for your own investment decisions whether it's buying, selling or holding. I prefer to hold but that's my way. What's your way?
EDIT: Here is a great example of a company that had excellent leadership and great products but took awhile before the stock took off. I don't think NioCorp will take as long to grow because there is an offtake in place but it's an interesting study in Investor Patience.
