Funnily enough it's a stock dividend so all those people just sold away their rights to it. Ex date for stock dividends is generally the day after the payment date...in this case, April 2. Record date in stock dividend cases is effectively unimportant, except to say that any shares converted into common shares after the record date aren't owed the dividend.
