Well, I would think that a large bid or ask would be the result of the bots trying to provide liquidity in anticipation of sell or buy orders. I mean look at the ETFs with little/no volume. The bids and asks change to match the index without any buy or sel to 'move' the price, right? Just my thinking.

Looking to learn about SPY manipulation not to criticize anyone here thanks.
