My initial thoughts as well but it could just be they are actually trying to pass on pertinent information, good or bad. Still, it doesn't answer why it was done in an "NR". I don't know what exactly qualifies as "material".
Why not release it last friday then? They may be so sure of the success that in their eyes it was no big deal. Then when sp reacted and went under 1 they release some other news to support the sp? or was it planned already?
Does GTE have a "bag of NR's" they are working on, reach in and pull them out strategically? I am undecided, but it is a well debated topic. Although now with news coming probably positive, maybe substantive, the timing is interesting.
