Netflix began 4K streaming in 2014, and it currently offers shows like House of Cards, Breaking Bad and The Blacklist in the format. Amazon offers popular TV shows like Orphan Black, Transparent and the new Sneaky Pete in 4K. A new contender, UltraFlix, which aims to position itself as the Netflix of 4K, has an extensive 4K library. And in mid-2015, the Blu-ray Disc Association announced the completion of the Ultra HD Blu-ray specification. New players and discs should be available in 2016 that will show films and television shows in UHD resolution, while also providing an expanded color range and high frame rate to keep up with today’s films.
