["And that's exactly what they did back in June 2014. They chose GlassWare to use with their Chromebooks. That has been confirmed by Brian Jones at CCPS: " We have acquired a test environment server with the GlassWare product."]

Perhaps this is just me, but it strikes me as not being a very good defense. It doesn't really matter what was said at the time, what matters is what actually happened.

If they actually tested GW but didn't adopt it, that's possibly worse.

And this is exactly the problem I have with the touts here, they want their cake and eat it too. For instance, we have people here who argue that GW was only recently available for sale now that it is finally on Azure.

This is clearly nonsense. Here we have a school district actually testing it at least a year ago, and for whatever reason not adopting it (unless somebody has any recent info on that, but I think if it was adopted, we would have heard about it in a rather emphatic way).

My problem is simply this. GW has been available for years, yet there is almost no take up by the market, nor much (if any) buzz in the IT press, nor any benchmarking.

Perhaps it isn't as functional as claimed by the touts, none of whom seem to have actual knowledge or experience in virtualization..
