FWIW this article illustrates the.......

the average length of an SEC investigation depends on the point at which one starts counting. According to this research an SEC investigation takes on average:

6 Months from the point of Informal to Formal Disclosure, plus
1 year from Formal Disclosure to Wells Notice, plus
9 months from Wells Notice to Restitution without fine
16 months from Wells Notice to Restitution with fine.

If the estimates are close and this is an average investigation, I think we can assume this investigation began about 1.5 years ago.
