Cowen and Company adds medical technology sector analyst to equity research department

Cowen and Company announced that Eli Kammerman has joined the firm as a Senior Analyst covering the Medical Technology sector.
Kammerman joins Cowen and Company from Cathay Financial in New York where he was a Medical Products Analyst. His prior experience includes eleven years in the health care industry, including Pharmacia Diagnostics, Genex Corporation and Novartis Pharmaceuticals, and ten years at Wall Street firms, including Merrill Lynch, Salomon Brothers and, most recently, Cathay Financial.
Kammerman earned a BA from Boston University and studied technology management at the graduate school of the University of Maryland. He will be based in New York and report directly to Barry Tarasoff, Cowen and Company's director of research.
"Eli's addition to Cowen and Company will extend our areas of coverage into several medical technology categories. Given his extensive experience in the health care industry, combined with his strong financial background, we are proud to add such a highly-respected analyst to our research team," said Barry Tarasoff.
