This assumes you know the reporting requirements? I believe your comment (even if not 5-6 institutions but fewer) shows you do not fully understand those requirements (particularly the timing), I suggest you read up on them!

Are you suggesting that retail just bought up 20 mil shares (presplit) and kept pushing the bid, with order sizes in the 10k range and higher?.

Logic tells me the prior

My discussions with a few institutions as I had mentioned months ago tell me the prior

The data we have on short volume and availability of short shares tell my its the prior

So, while I appreciate your views, please tell me how retail or shorts drove this (completely ignoring my first comment), given short availability barely changed and retail certainly doesn't have the capital nor reason to chase this stock and keep pushing the bid.

Indeed if this was simply day traders we would see a material sell of by now and we have not. Again, this ignores the data I have mentioned previously.


Certainly, if we don't see any reporting of new institutions in this name by the time the timeline for reporting is up, I will concur we're incorrect, until then I would be very surprised that this was simply retail or a technical move.
