The first is that this is a different space than the one NEOM is trying to capture. At the SHM they talked about Dynamic vs Static codes. A static codes has a url embedded in it. Neom does dynamic with a linking registry. This is a far more versatile technology. Than having to update the physical object itself. With Dynamic you can store the information on remote servers and its alot easier to manage. The HP announcement is a cool niche space for something like medical id bands or something like that, but I believe the space NEOM has patents for will ultimately win the mass market.
Secondly RFID has way too much industry backing and momentum for this chip to broadly replace it any time soon. Eventually there will be technologies that NEOM did not foresee, but if they can position QODE and build a brand before that occurs and gains mass traction it won't matter.
