I went to my nearest Best Buy store here in Florida last night while school clothes shopping for my son. The store was close to the Mall we were going to so I decided to go in and check out our SLS Speaker System for myself.
I walked in to the "busy" store and made it back to the speaker displays. I was looking for our SLS's on all the "End Caps" but didn't find it on any so went and found someone to help me. I found a young man and asked him if he knew where the SLS Speakers were. He said ,"yes sure" and I followed him past the Bose Display that was on the end cap to the middle of the isle. "UGGGHHH not on an end cap, I thought!"
Then I asked him if he knew anything about them? (as the other speaker systems around it were being tried out by customers around me)
He went to turn it on and it wasn't even hooked up!!! OOOOOHHH NOOOOOO! "I thought"!
I immediately told him I wanted to hear it and could he hook it up! He said "yes, but it would take about an hour" ???? I thought again , but said "O.K. I'll take my son clothes shopping at the Mall and be back in an hour"
I went shopping with my son and came back 3 hours later LOL!
We walked into a MUCH busier store this time and straight back to hear the system!
My son and I then thought "Let's see what this baby can do!"
NOTE** There were 3 other systems being tested at the same time we wanted to hear the SLS system 1. The Bose end cap system being tested and 2. a Bose 999.00 system right next to me on the right side of our SLS display and another 3.Can't remember the Name brand system being tested on my left.
I looked at my son and he looked at me and we both smiled the biggest smile back at each other. We knew we were about to Crank it up as loud as it would go LOL!
I let my son do the honors!! He CRANKED IT UP! The sound was so loud and crystal clear it drowned out ALL the other 3 systems put together!
I looked to my right and saw these heads popping from around the corner (people who had been trying out the Bose speakers) and had to laugh as the people to my left and right of us mouths were on the floor LOL! "Now get you some of that I thought to myself" ,and my 17 yr old son was ROTFLHisAO at all the people that came over" " WOW What kind of speakers are those?" they all said.
I told them they were "SLS speakers" and had the new Ribbon Band technology in them and that SLS speaker systems were already being installed in 1. Movie theaters and had been installed in a 2.NASCAR stadium with more to be installed in the future. There were probably 10 people that all said "WOW! those speakers sound better than the Bose do" [I was just sick inside then on the thought that these Speakers have been just sitting on the shelf here NOT even hooked up! (Double UUUGGGHHH!!!)
About that time a Best Buy store employee "Blue shirt" came over and I asked him how many systems he had in stock? He looked it up and said "they had four in stock", (1) on display [that wasn't even hooked up until I asked about it] and (3) on the shelf in boxes. He pointed up to 2 on the inventory racks above on the opposite isle, and there was 1 (that made 3)underneath the (that made 4)display unit on a shelf!
My son and I thanked him and walked away as our job was done !
I will go back this weekend coming up and see what the count is then, and give an updated report!
These stores are dropping the ball on us and need our help "BAD"! I had no Idea of the incompetence that has been going on with the Best Buy stores and our product. I hope we can all visit 1 or 2 stores (if possible)to help with this awareness program!
