Yes, sublingual seems to be the way to go, although all the pills have such a very large multiple of what you need that even 1% would be plenty.

It used to be before they started supplementing foods with folic acid that the first sign of B12 deficiency was anemia. But now the folic acid seems to overcome the B12 deficiency induced anemia, and so now by the time you have any actual neurological symptoms of B12 deficiency you have already done yourself possibly irreparable damage.

B12 is the one substance vegans and vegetarians absolutely have to supplement with - there is no vegetable-derived B12.
