Laughable. The idea that Peregrine-Bavi is generating fear in BPs is ludicrous.

Not laughable or ludicrous at all. The fear comes from the concern that Bavi might well be worth the asking price and might deliver mega profits in the future, and be owned and controlled by a competitor. The effect of inaction today may have dramatic and lasting consequences on future performance. The fear of the wrong decision is real. Today's asking price might look very cheap in five years. This definitely is not fastasy, but a clear example of real world business. Dr's only prescribe the current SOC, and if that drug is not yours, bottom lines get changed.
