Both debt and metal prices are really hurting Thomson Creek Metals(TC). Perhaps a much bigger move in gold might help them, but I understand that they have an arrangement that doesn't provide full compensation on the gold they mine.

If they can lower their debt and the Moly price got back on track TC would be an interesting speculation.

TC should closely follow development of moly sulfide which is being researched to release hydrogen from water. Hydrogen is used in Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles which a number of auto manufacturers are producing. Hydrogen could also be used to produce electric to power and heat homes.

I often wonder if a safe and reasonably cost hydrogen fuel system can be designed for individuals to provide for their various needs.

excerpt: Chemical engineers have found a 30-year-old recipe that stands to make future hydrogen production cheaper and greener. The recipe has led researchers to a way to liberate hydrogen from water via electrolysis using molybdenum sulfide – moly sulfide for short – as the catalyst in place of the expensive metal platinum.
