"Gaston law officer goes to conference"
Gaston County Police Officer L.A. Caliendo was invited to attend the annual Technology Institute for Law Enforcement Conference this week in Washington.
The conference is sponsored by the National Institute of Justice and is designed to help law enforcement officers from across the country learn about and discuss technology initiatives and issues affecting the law enforcement community.
Each year about 30 law enforcement officers are selected from among applicants representing agencies nationwide. The institute invited Caliendo to attend and give a presentation on Gaston County Police's new Cyberbug aerial reconnaissance vehicle.
