The relationship with Philips, incidentally, extends beyond just the reference to a distant past. Philips Healthcare is in fact closely involved in the development of the new software platform , Additive World. That's in addition to the modular design and technology integeratie the third feature of the Metalfab1 . With the new software platform Additive Industries supports the complete end -to-end workflow and get all the data available in one place. The first real live test is done along with Philips Healthcare. Additive World is moreover still at the beginning : tools will be developed with partners to analyze the data and thereby further improving the 3D printing process.


Additive World is an open system where third parties can connect their software . Examples include the important packages of Sigma Lab ( PrintRite3D , process monitoring) and 3DSIM (simulation) .


Additive Industries has the Metalfab1 last week for the first time shown on Form Next , the AM fair in Frankfurt. For the four beta machines have already found customers.
