I suspect that intel has enough of a lead in the high end that they have slowed their pace to maximize profits.



Um, if you really think that, you should see how well that worked out for AMD back in the day.

The foundries are closing the gap with Intel; Intel would be outright dumb to intentionally slow down node development.
