Rain thinks that after ZTE most companies will roll over and I disagree. I think after witnessing what ZTE did ( which seemed illogical to me at the time) they realize that VRNG does not have the financial stamina for a protracted litigation. Everytime VRNG steps into the judicial ring ( without a SUBSTANTIAL win) they are getting weaker and weaker. Eventually after so many fights someone is going to pick them up CHEAPLY or they just become no longer relevant.
I think Rain is a smart guy, I like his insight in some areas but I think he has missed the mark here. I hope not...I HOPE he is right and companies will submit to FRAND agreements but until the first one steps up or VRNG starts to settle for singles and doubles ( RAIN's words that I agree with) I think companies are going to litigate as long as they can. Again , I hope I'm wrong. Nothing would please me more but it looks like the writing in on the wall....we will see.
GLTA VRNG LONGS!
