The technology PrintRite3D brings to the table includes some of the technologies that make 3D printing the dream manufacturing tool everyone envisions. GE can start initial production and test using traditional methods of XRAY scans, destructive testing etc etc. That works fine, but it is not making the most of 3D printings efficiencies. Once the production is going the introduction of PrintRite3D will start to bring the massive % advantages in speed and quality. By in-process testing PrintRite3D can improve on these traditional methods to a degree that is a game changer to the production industry. Finding errors in the traditional slow destructive or X-ray testing is the normal, but is very slow and very expensive relative to what PrintRite3D will bring to the table. GE developed Inspect WITH Sigma labs for this very purpose. They are using it in their AM specialist centre for their testing. It doesn't make any sense to not use it once the production run is up and running.
