I would add only that the CEO's job (and CFO's job) during a start-up phase is to be out there banging the drum to investors. They have to be selling the dream and building up buyers of stock so they can issue stock for money.

A beautiful product, without capital markets support, will collect dust. We need the markets working for us, not against us, and that rests squarely on CEO/CFO right now.
