The only thing I can come up with is the correlation of the minimum amount of shareholders required for a given stockmarket. The higher desired the stockmarket is the higher the minimum required amount of shareholders is combined with a minimum ownership requirement (= amount of shares) which also increases the more desirable the stockmarket is.
