I guess people think that you think of an idea and it magically appears in stores as if you don't need to actually develop the product, test it, tweak it, and perfect it for retailers. Oh and set up manufacturing facility with brand new equipment which then has to be be approved due to regulations. Everyone wants things NOW... In reality, it takes time to get a product to market and stay on the market for the long term. In many cases 2-3 years...
