I have known geologists who swore by dowsing. I have also known drillers who have sworn by dowsers. And of course, have met more than a few crusty old prospectors who seem to think a couple copper rods or twigs will somehow, magically, point to gold.

I don't bother arguing. Sometimes intuition is an amazing thing and if a person thinks holding some bent twigs is what does it, more power to them.

Yeah, I'd go with the Niton too. Unless it is to locate a gossan, in which case, I would use my eyes.
