Based on that thought, I'm thinking that all Muslims that don't wear the hijab and speak English are making an effort to integrate into our society and should be welcome. Those that wear the hijab and believe in Sharia are trying to change our rule of law. On that basis, they shouldn't be welcome here. Religion isn't the issue. Rule of law is the real issue. If there is no intention to follow our rule of law I agree with those that don't want Muslims to immigrate here.
But, then, I don't view Islam as a religion as much as I view it as a political movement. Years ago, I went to an English translated sermon. The men were in the main hall, the women in a small side room in back with blinds barely open to see inside the main hall. Other than a small amount of prayer, the sermon was all political discussion. Not religious at all. From that point on I have viewed Islam as a political movement rather than a religious movement. Mosques that are only discussing politics shouldn't get the tax break other religious institutions get. Perhaps, that tax break should be removed from all, but, that is another conversation.
