When Greg Caws was asked to organize the B.C. Tech Summit, that first thing he did was bring together people from the diverse sectors in which technology plays a role.
Investment was also high on the agenda — one of the pillars Clark outlined as being essential to foster the tech sector in the province. Forty companies were chosen to pitch their ideas to venture capitalists. Caws said 180 venture capital investors attended from all over the world.

“We figure there’s over five billion (venture capital) dollars in the room,” he said.
