It depends on how bad the split will be...for example at current rates of $0.15 and they want to get up to 1.00 per share on the PPS.

1000 shares at .15 is worth $150.00
if they try to increase that PPS to 1.00, they would have to do a reverse split of about 7:1
which means for every 7 shares you own, they would be converted into one share.
Your 1000 shares would now only be 143 shares...those 143 shares are now worth $1.05 each
In theory the amount of money you have invested is still the same...the difference is that now the company has far less shares to offer to bill collectors and to sell to the public for profit, so they usually end up going to their board of directors and ask for an increase of authorized shares. Then those shares get issued and are sold back into the market making dilution which causes the price to drop even more.

Currently their issued share count is 158.5 million shares, I don't know what the authorized amount is, because it was not listed in the last Quarterly or Annual report that I read.
