I think the adhesives they seek to replace are most likely in the construction adhesive category that pertain to polyurethane caulks and glue such as OSI, liquid nails these are the most widely used..

OSI and caulks mfg by BASF are polyurethane based and are used on the exterior construction of residential and commercial projects.. by carpenters brick layers window and aluminum siding contractors.

The interior adhesives aforementioned are used to install drywall sheetrock and hardwood floors generally tile adhesives are not poly based.
