It is not yet clear which engines would be tampered with. Renault has the major car manufacturer offers an extensive range of self-designed and built diesel engines. They not only for its own products, but they also deliver to sister brand Nissan. And assembles Mercedes diesels in the A class. Should anything like VW are tampered with software, then there may be an impact on many more brands than Renault alone.
