Crow: I miss the Counterfeit Brand Detector. Every time these guys need to do another PP placement round, they float the latest product concept, tailored to suit the topic of the day on the mainstream news and gin up fresh PPers to fill the pot back up.
Since EM-1x was reported by CDEx to have worked 100% at Kinmen Island years ago, I am baffled that Bactec and other demining companies never bought any EM-1xs - or even leased them. Instead, the EM-1x was "backburnered" and the FSSS and MSSS were brought up, then the infamous PS3 was marketed since early 2003. When that came up dry, the AS3 and SafePill was the tout du jour. Then they've played the Valimed card. Then the Counterfeit Brand Detector. Now the meth gun idea, which sounds like the PS3 rewarmed. VAMMP was touted in CDEx's early SEC filings - then silence - VAMMP was never discussed since. The pulse laser gizmo was good for a few months of PP share sales, IIRC, and I think we should start a pool to guess the next CDEx "product" for the Fall PP sales season.
Even though the nuclear waste head vent monitor never got the traction they hoped (too small of a market to get prospective PPers interested), I could see them revisiting this idea as a way to locate hidden Iranian and North Korean nuclear sites.
My bet will be either on a pollution monitoring system for wastewater treatment plants or a smoke/poison gas detector to be installed on the HVAC systems of every large building in the world as an anti-terrorism device. Maybe they can revisit the oil field detector concept from the LOCH days - especially if gas prices continue to rise (which they will).
Whatever it will be, they will concoct another product story to sell the fresh crop of PPers and get the old PP suckers to keep writing new checks.
