Mind Over Market - Futures Forum
Welcome to the start of hopefully something good. I feel there is not much out there about futures trading, and see a lot of people keep throwing money away in crap shot trades, with under funded accounts, trying to do a lot with a little, with no strategy, in markets where either a) it's total gambling (like most OTC) and or b) the buying power required to make much money is much larger compared to what they actually have.
In order to obtain financial freedom, you must be consistent. Ask yourself, "Am I making consistent green daily?" If the answer is Yes, then keep it up! If the answer is no, then explore the reasons why. Everyone is different. For me, OTC does not provide the income and consistency I need to support a family. Equities, the buying power was a big issue, now not so much, but on top of that, the scanning, the taxes, etc. With Futures I'm more connected. There are really 3 major instruments I focus on. Everyday my watchlist is the same. No scanning, etc. Just keeping up with some basic news, and economic report schedule. The taxes are much better in futures than in equities. So for me, it was a win win win.
I'd simply like to share some strategy, show my trades, and focus on Futures trading. I feel a lot of people have overlooked the futures market, because people have said it's dangerous. That's just silly. Not because there's no risk, there definitely is, but because the people who say that are trading small cap bios and otc lol.
