Zoning for one... You cannot just convert your hotel / motel to a cannabis friendly property. Zoning is a huge key factor.
With that being said, nothing is preventing new hotels to open in properly zoned areas, but Joel has the beat on them. The key for MJMJ, because, let's get real folks "Bud n Breakfast" as a brand, isn't going away, is for them to start acquiring assets. Currently they lease all 3 of their B&B's. One is up in the Summer... Will they buy it outright? Who knows. IMO the next PR could be a massive one. What's telling me this - nothing it's my own opinion and outlook.
Also, Joel doesn't care about shareholders. He cares about running a successful, fun business. Shareholders right now are a way for him to raise money, so the bag holders like myself get screwed. I don't have personal hate or resentment for the guy though I truly believe he feels he has something special, is trying to capitalize on it which is what anyone in his shoes would do, and expanding his brand.
