lll...I'll tell you what the big fear was today. There was news out this morning that U.S. Congress was voting on a bill today to ban any type of gambling over the internet and any use of credit cards for that purpose. The bill was passed this afternoon in the House of Representatives 319 to 91 too.

They were all talking about this over at Yahoo. But this type of legislation would be next to impossible to regulate. Online gambling is rampant and millions of people are involved. What are they going to do? Arrest everybody?

Congress is trying to make the use of computer technology in the gaming industry illegal. But the truth is internet gambling has ALWAYS been illegal, but unregulated.

I don't think GIGM would be that involved in the whole mess anyhow because the bill would only concern U.S. involvement and GigaMedia is a predominantly ASIAN company who is expanding into European markets!

The whole U.S. online gaming issue should be a non-event to GIGM imho.

We'll see though.

Good Luck!

PP :)
