I could see why anxious investors would find it exciting but the cost to current shareholders was enormous. The devil is in the details. It's all paid for in shares. As a result of this acquisition, every single share held by shareholders is worth considerably less - this is indisputable (re-read that last sentence).
I've barely played with the numbers and haven't had timed to put together even a crude spreadsheet. But I was guessing upon reading the filings that the common share equivalent for this deal is more than 150mm shares. 150mm!!!! Lol. The entire A/S right now is merely 350mm shares. Consider, the equivalent of 40% of "YOUR" shares was just traded for the CEO's personally owned dispensary. Lol. (Geez - when you put in that way). Again, only did the conversions in my head; if someone could confirm that common equivalent (or not)
Look, there's some logic in the acquisition. I get it. It's flashy for a what is a starved investor base. I get that too. But read the details. And as for .18 this week, I don't think so. Not unless Obama unleashes the Kraken tonight.
Good luck
