I would not put it past them to use every trick in the book to try to cover their position. If I found myself in an unexpected short position, I would take every approach to limit the damage.

With each passing day, they are sure to feel the increased pressure to close that short position and with news expected at any point, I expect them to become more aggressive.

Even if they somehow manage to cover every share without an upward price movement (short squeeze), the stock will continue to grow organically.
